Thales has announced that it is supporting Infrabel, the Belgian rail network operator, to strengthen the cybersecurity of its critical systems and infrastructures in the face of increasing digital threats.

Thales has been awarded a five-year, €20 million contract for this project, which includes real-time detection of suspicious activity and implementation of security measures.

This partnership is in line with the European NIS 21 directive aimed at harmonizing and strengthening cybersecurity within the EU.
