Thales announces that, following an independent audit, it has been certified as compliant with the ISO/SAE 21434 automotive cybersecurity standard, a certification mandatory in 68 countries and making it a 'trusted partner for the automotive market'.

'Industry players must comply with strict regulations, and Thales' cyber expertise helps them monitor and prevent cyber threats, such as hacking, data theft and software tampering', explains the electronics group.

The ISO/SAE 21434 standard was launched by the automotive industry, in response to a new regulation (no. 155) on vehicle cybersecurity management systems, published by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
