On Tuesday, TF1 announced the appointment of a new member to its executive committee, with the recruitment of an investment banker from the Bouygues group.

Pierre-Alain Gérard has been appointed deputy managing director in charge of finance, strategy and purchasing, replacing Philippe Denery, and will join the television group's executive committee.

In his new role, the forty-something Gérard will be responsible for financial performance, financial communications, the management of potential mergers and acquisitions, and a "responsible" purchasing policy within the framework of the climate contract.

Born in 1981, Pierre-Alain Gérard is a graduate of Ecole Centrale de Lyon and EM Lyon.

After starting his career in mergers and acquisitions in London, first with Bank of America and then Morgan Stanley, he joined the Bouygues group, parent company of TF1, in 2009.

Since 2019, he has held the position of central director of strategy, development and financial control at the French construction giant.
