Templeton Dragon Fund, Inc. announced portfolio management team appointments, effective April 3, 2017. Eddie Chow, director of China Strategy for Templeton Emerging Markets Group (“TEMG”), and currently co-lead portfolio manager for Templeton Dragon Fund, Inc., will become sole lead portfolio manager for the fund as its current co-lead portfolio manager Dr. Mark Mobius steps off the fund’s portfolio management team. Dr. Mobius will remain as executive chairman for TEMG, contributing investment ideas and research for the group.
Templeton Dragon Fund, Inc. is a closed-end management investment company. The Fund seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing at least 45% of its total assets in equity securities of China companies. The Fund may invest in companies listed on exchanges in mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, or elsewhere.
