BASE will launch subscriptions for television and/or fixed Internet next month. The company is doing so through parent company Telenet. The services will be available nationwide from June 3 and are among the cheapest on the market.

In the news: BASE has just announced that - in addition to its already existing mobile services - it is entering the fixed Internet and television market. The company says it is targeting customers "who want to choose their services themselves and pay only for what they really need." BASE should become for parent company Telenet what Scarlet is for Proximus.

Types of subscriptions

BASE does not use so-called bundles. So all their services are available separately. Those who combine them do get a lifetime discount.

  • BASE comes with two subscriptions for fixed Internet.
    • 300 GB of download speeds of up to 50Mbit/s and upload speeds of 5Mbit/s: 27 euros per month.
    • Unlimited surfing at download speeds of up to 200 Mbit/s and upload speeds of 20 Mbit/s: 40 euros per month.
  • There are also two options for television. Both options offer you 28 French-language or Dutch-language channels. You also get the options of recording (up to 200 hours), replay (36 hours) and pause.
    • Those who only want to watch via the BASE TV app - thus using a Chromecast, Apple TV or smart TV - pay 10 euros per month.
    • Those who want a box pay 15 euros per month.
  • Nothing will change on the mobile subscriptions. Those all have unlimited calling and texting. Furthermore, you pay 15 euros for 8 GB, 20 euros for 25 GB, 29 euros for 50 GB and 39 euros for 120 GB.

Discount: From two or more products at BASE, you also get a 10 percent discount on your television or internet subscription.

Also: Earlier this month, newcomer Digi Belgium announced it will launch its mobile subscriptions in the second half of 2024. Later they too will come with fixed Internet and television.
