TM & AXIS AME SDN BHD EXTENDS COLLABORATION TO BRING  UNIFI SERVICES TO MORE JOHOR BUSINESSES
Tenants and factory owners at iPark @ Indahpura Phase 3 and SME City set to benefit from HSBB services ?

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) begins 2014 on a high note by continuing its Smart Partnership with property developers when the Company inked a second Service Agreement with Axis Ame IP Sdn Bhd (Axis Ame) for the deployment and provision of TM's high speed broadband (HSBB) network infrastructure and services to the new phases of the latter's industrial park at iPark @ Indahpura Phase 3 and SME City developments located at Indahpura, Kulaijaya in Johor.

The signing is an extension to the first service agreement that was previously signed in October 2012.

Mohd Roslan Mohd Rashidi, State Vice President,  TM Johor and Mohd Nizam Mohd Yunan, Assistant General Manager of SME, TM Johor signed the Service Agreement on behalf of TM while Axis Ame was represented by Dato' Stewart LaBrooy, Executive Director, Axis Ame and Kelvin Lee Chai, Managing Director, Axis Ame.

Commenting on the signing of this second agreement, Mohd Roslan noted, "This collaboration is not just another signing but it also marks a significant achievement and underlines TM's success stories in bringing the benefits of HSBB to even more businesses via collaborations with industrial park developers such as Axis Ame. We are indeed grateful to be given the continued trust to provide the development areas with HSBB network infrastructure and services. The on-going partnership between TM and Axis Ame is indeed meaningful as it will not only further enhance TM's presence in both iPark @ Indahpura Phase 3 and SME City's, but also enable factory owners and tenants to experience the new era of digital lifestyle. True to our tagline of "Business Made Easier", TM will provide UniFi service at both industrial parks; making it UniFi-ready for future tenants and potential buyers where they can subscribe to UniFi and enjoy a comprehensive suite of broadband services via fibre technology immediately upon moving in."

"Through this collaboration, all iPark @ Indahpura Phase 3 and SME City factory units - developed as an integrated industrial park with a clean and green concept -, will be equipped with a FREE subscription of TM's 5Mbps UniFi service for a maximum period of two (2) years," added Mohd Roslan.

UniFi is offered as a triple-play service comprising of high speed internet, video (Internet Protocol Television or "IPTV") and voice, with speeds from 5Mbps up to 20Mbps via fibre technology (Fibre-to-the-Home or "FTTH"). While the same speeds are offered to businesses via its UniFi BIZ packages, higher speeds of up to 50Mbps are available for business customers to subscribe to subject to serviceability.

Both TM and Axis Ame are committed to leverage on their core competencies and strengths in providing an integrated industrial park as well as HSBB network infrastructure that supports UniFi services.  It is seen as a significant collaboration to transform the trends of industrial parks development with the added premise of a digital lifestyle brought about via high speed broadband connectivity.

"We will continue to focus on collaborations with key industry players, as an initiative to improve our outreach to SME communities. Such collaborations will help to increase the usage of high speed broadband amongst Malaysian businesses. In addition, with the establishment of HSBB-equipped industrial areas, we hope to boost the ICT adoption, towards achieving the broadband penetration target of 75% by end of 2015, as outlined in the National Broadband Plan. We encourage SMEs to fully utilise our ICT-based products, services and solutions specifically tailored to their needs that would help them to kick start and expand their business thereby creating more value for end customers. We also hope that through this initiative, Malaysian SMEs are pushed up the value chain in enhancing their competitiveness," Mohd Roslan further added.

To date, TM has signed more than 60 Smart Partnership Agreements with numerous property developers nationwide where the Company acts as HSBB network infrastructure provider for the new developments.
