ZERO FAULT CONSTRUCTION IN HIGH ALTITUDE
Lhasa-Shikatse Railway, as the extended line of Qinghai-Tibet Railway, is the major landmark project during the Tibet "eleventh five-year plan" period. Upon the completion of the railway, the train speed shall be not less than 120km/h. The 253km-long railway is starting from Lhasa at more than 3,600 meters above sea level, along the LhasaRiver to the south, via Duilongdeqing, Qushui, going the YarlungZangboRiver on the downstream, through nearly 90 km length of the Canyon area, via Nimu, Renbu arriving in Shikatse at more than 3,800 meters above sea level. The train speed now on the frozen soil segments of Qinghai-Tibet Railway is 100km/h, non-frozen segments 120km/h, which is the world's highest train speed on plateau permafrost railway.
Worked in the harsh construction environment of the average more than 3,700 meters above sea level, SUNWARD Rotary Drilling Rig went well during the railway project without any adverse reaction. Since May, the three months' construction in Tibet went quite well in Tibet. Two units of SUNWARD Rotary Drilling Rig has worked zero fault in the highest segments of the whole railway, won the customer's full praise.
