Logistics group Stef has announced that Plug Power will supply Blue Enerfreeze, its energy subsidiary, with a complete green hydrogen ecosystem to power two large cold storage warehouses near Paris and Madrid.

The two sites, which will be converted to hydrogen fuel cell technology, will be operational in the first quarter of 2024. Stef and Plug plan to extend the use of fuel cells to more than 100 distribution centers in Europe.

'Replacing lead-acid batteries with Plug's hydrogen fuel cells should significantly improve the productivity of Stef's forklift trucks, providing them with optimum capacity throughout their working cycle', it explains.
