Danish Energy Agency has intentions of changing tender regulations for the Svane gas and oil field in order to attract A.P. Møller - Mærsk A/S (CPSE:MAERSK B) and Royal Dutch Shell plc (ENXTAM:RDSA). Both companies have reportedly bid on a license for the field but bids were withdrawn after the Danish Energy Agency demanded unusually high remuneration. The Energy Agensy will now seek a compromise by changing regulations on taxation in the North Sea.
