SGS : Acquires BF Machinery Pty Ltd and CBF Engineering Pty Ltd, Australia

SGS is pleased to announce the acquisition of BF Machinery Pty Ltd and CBF Engineering Pty Ltd, both based in Melbourne, Australia and with operations in Sydney.
The businesses provide testing, repair, engineering and maintenance services for pumps, valves, hydraulics and plastics systems. Their primary markets include manufacturing, water, utilities, waste management, mining and oil & gas.
Founded in 1988 and privately owned, the businesses operate with a combined team of 38 employees and generated 2016 revenues in excess of AUD 7 million.
'This deal diversifies our Industrial activities in Australia from their traditional mining, oil and gas base,' said Frankie Ng, CEO of SGS. 'They provide us with an opportunity to replicate services outside of the current operating areas, expanding what these businesses deliver today.'
