The Corporate Director of Risk Control and Management at Sacyr, Cristina Martínez García, has been appointed Vice-President and member of the Executive Committee of the Federation of European Risk Management Association (FERMA).
Sacyr wishes her the very best of luck and every success in her new role.
Cristina Martínez, economist and actuary and graduate of the Integral Programme for Managerial Development from the ESIC Business and Marketing School, has more than 15 years of experience in risk and insurance field. She was previously Corporate Risk Director at Iberia Líneas Aéreas and Campofrío Food Group, and has received several professional awards: Strategic Risk Awards 2012, “Best Enterprise Risk Management Programme of the Year” and in scientific research the Julio Sáez First Prize for Research for “Comprehensive risk management as a source of competitive advantage”, 2009. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Spanish association of risk management and insurance IGREA.
The Federation of European Risk Management Associations is a professional association founded in 1974 with its headquarters in Brussels (Belgium), and integrated in the international risk management and insurance networks with more than 4,500 members in over 20 countries. It communicates risk management and insurance standards and is the mouthpiece of the corporate risk management profession in its dealings with the financial and insurance market, EU and international bodies, regulators, the media, and national and international institutions, providing its members (companies) with protection of their interests, standards, best practices, meeting opportunities, information and training on all matters related to corporate risk management and the professional practice of Risk Management and Insurance.
Sacyr, S.A. is a building and public works group. Net sales (including intragroup) break down by activity as follows:
- industrial site,s infrastructure and building construction (49.4%);
- management of infrastructure under concession (32.3%): airports, roads, hotels, offices, shopping malls, etc.;
- services (17.1%): maintenance and cleaning of buildings, construction and installation of water pipeline systems and gas emission reduction systems, waste and wastewater collection and treatment, etc.;
- other (1.2%).
66.1% of sales are abroad.
