Rostelecom announced that contracts on equipment procurement for the deployment of broadband networks until the end of 2015. The operator will spend over RUB 1.5 billion on the equipment and announced its centralised procurement system enabled savings on the initial cost of 35%. The operator will build the networks based on FTTB and GPON technologies.
The procurement tender was carried out in 14 lots.
