Southern National Bancorp of Virginia Inc. reported unaudited consolidated earnings results for the fourth quarter and year ended December 31, 2018. For the quarter, interest and dividend income was $31,150,000 against $27,965,000 a year ago. Net interest income was $22,804,000 against $22,970,000 a year ago. Net income was $7,704,000 against loss of $1,161,000 a year ago. Earnings per share basic and diluted was $0.32 against loss of $0.05 per a year ago.
For the year, interest and dividend income was $118,907,000 against $83,570,000 a year ago. Net interest income was $91,066,000 against $67,917,000 a year ago. Net income was $33,691,000 against $2,425,000 a year ago. Earnings per share diluted were $1.39 against $0.13 per a year ago. Basic earnings per share was $1.40 compared to $0.13 a year ago.
