Chodai Co., Ltd. (TSE:9624) announces a share repurchase program. Under the program, the company will repurchase up to 70,000 shares, representing 0.77% of its share capital, for a total of ¥50 million. The purpose of the plan is to enhance shareholder value per share as part of shareholder returns.
The plan will expire on March 23, 2015. As of January 31, 2015, the company has 9,057,615 outstanding shares (excluding treasury shares) and 358,385 shares in treasury.
CHODAI CO., LTD. is Japan-based company mainly engaged in the construction consulting business. The Company has three business segments. The Consulting segment is engaged in the research, planning, design and construction management of bridges and special construction objects, the design of civil engineering structures, the planning and design of comprehensive transport, city and region, the research, planning, design, operational administration and public management of rivers, the provision of information processing, system planning and design, software development, as well as information content development, operation and distribution services. The Services Provider segment is engaged in the operation of roads, public facilities and demand transportation systems, and the polluter pays principle (PPP) business. The Products segment is engaged in the sale of eco products and information systems, as well as the rental business and the application service provider (ASP) business.
