Pakistan Petroleum Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended December 31, 2011. For the quarter, the company reported profit after taxation increased to PKR 10.226 billion translating earnings per share of PKR 7.78 against after tax profit of PKR 8.828 billion with per share earnings of PKR 6.72 in the same period a year ago. For the six months, the company reported profit after tax increased to PKR 20.113 billion as compared to PKR 16.618 billion earned in the corresponding period in 2010. The company's basic and diluted earnings per share increased to PKR 15.30 in the period under review against PKR 12.64 in the same period a year ago. Net sales increased to PKR 45.256 billion against PKR 37.415 billion in the same period in 2010.
