Oppstar Berhad announced redesignation of MR NG MENG THAI from Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer to Executive Director and Co-Chief Executive Officer. Date of change: 24 November 2023. Age:59.

His qualifications is Masters in Master of Business Administration from Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT); Degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electronic Engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). Working experience and occupation is Mr. Ng Meng Thai has around 34 years of experience in the IC design industry, with in-depth understanding and expertise in the field. Started career as a Design Engineer at Hitachi Semiconductor (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (now Renesas Semiconductor (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd).

Senior Engineer at Intel Microelectronics (M) Sdn Bhd in 1993. During his tenure at Intel Microelectronics Sdn Bhd until 2008, he was promoted several times and his last position held was Senior Design Manager. Director (IC Engineering) at Altera Corporation (M) Sdn Bhd (now part of Intel) from 2008 to 2014.

Founded Oppstar Technology Sdn Bhd in 2014.
