Doha, Qatar

Qtel today made it easier for Hala and Shahry customers to choose the best mobile data package for their data needs, by simplifying and standardising rates and providing more data and even better value.

With more people in Qatar than ever before accessing their Internet via mobile devices, Qtel has simplified the range of Mobile Data Packs for smartphones and BlackBerry's, and also the range of Mobile Broadband plans for tablets, USB modems and My-Fi devices.

As part of the process of simplification, Qtel has reduced the total number plans to four packages each for BlackBerry, Hala Mobile Data and Shahry Mobile Data customers.

For prepaid Hala customers, weekly Packs are 250MB (QR 15), 750MB (QR 40), 1500MB (QR 50) and Unlimited (QR 100). For postpaid Shahry customers, monthly plans are 1GB (QR 60), 3GB (QR 160), 6GB (QR 200) and Unlimited (QR 400).

Qtel has also launched an unlimited data package for BlackBerry devices, on both Hala and Shahry, for the first time ever.

The new plans make it easier than ever before to select the right data Pack, and - supported by Qtel's online data calculator - available at www.qtel.qa- customers can be sure they are enjoying the amount of data that meets their needs at the right price!

All customers, including Shahry and Hala, who use data beyond their Pack's allowance are charged at QR 0.10 per MB.

To activate their chosen plan, customers can send an SMS to the short code listed on Qtel's website, or visit any Qtel Shop or authorised dealer for more information.

The process of upgrading and simplifying the Mobile Data Packs is part of Qtel's ongoing approach to provide simple, transparent billing for all customers, and ensuring they have full control over their communication spending.
