OMRON Corporation reported consolidated earnings results for the nine months ended December 31, 2017. For the nine months, the company's net sales were JPY 624.9 billion compared to JPY 568.7 billion a year ago. Operating income was JPY 64.4 billion compared to JPY 45.8 billion a year ago. Net income attributable to shareholders was JPY 46.7 billion compared to JPY 30.6 billion a year ago. Net income attributable to shareholders basic was JPY 218.94 per share as compared to JPY 143.19 per share same period last year. Income before income taxes was JPY 62.5 billion compared to JPY 44.1 billion a year ago. Net cash provided by operating activities was JPY 44.5 billion compared to JPY 46.3 billion a year ago. Capital expenditures was JPY 16.2 billion compared to JPY 23.8 billion a year ago.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2018, the company expects net sales to be JPY 850.0 billion, operating income to be JPY 85.0 billion, income before income tax to be JPY 79.5 billion and net income attributable to shareholders of JPY 59.0 billion or JPY 277.0 per share.
OMRON Corporation specializes in manufacturing and marketing industrial automation systems. Net sales break down by family of products as follows:
