ASX ANNOUNCEMENT

10 March 2014

Drilling Commences at Blair North Northern Zone

Northern Mining Limited ("the Company") is pleased to announce that it has commenced a single reverse circulation (RC) drillhole BNRC095 with planned depth of approximately of 200 metres at the Blair North Northern Zone prospect ("BNNZ"), located at the East Kalgoorlie Project.
The drillhole is located on Section Line 6592700mN, targeting the northward extension of encouraging intersections on the 6592650mN line in holes BNRC066 and BNRC085 (Figure 1 & 3).
The geology and existing drillholes support the hypothesis that the mineralisation continues to the north of drillholes BNRC066 and BNRC085 and intersections of gold mineralisation may improve the continuity of mineralisation and could also increase the potential for the establishment of a mineral resource at the prospect.
Thin intersections of high grade gold were previously encountered in
BNRC066 at 235.43m for 0.47m @ 30.98 g/t and in BNRC066 at 253.67m for
0.21m @ 67.97 g/t within a halo of lower to moderate grade halo of mineralisation in drillholes BNRC066 and BNRC085, visible gold was noted during core logging (ASX 24 December 2010 and 15 February 2011).
Should the planned drillhole BNRC095 finishes in mineralisation, it may be extended at a later date by diamond drilling if warranted.

Background on Blair North Northern Zone Prospect

The Blair North Northern Zone prospect ("BNNZ") is located approximately 30km east of Kalgoorlie, on E25/268 within the Bulong Mining District in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia. The tenement is held jointly by the Company (79%) and Balagundi Gold Pty Ltd (21%).
BNNZ is situated less than a kilometre from the Hampton Fault which separates the Bulong Domain and the Gindalbie Domain. The Company's Georges Reward Prospect hosts 22,850 ounces of gold within an inferred JORC compliant resource of 375,000 tonnes @ 1.89 g/t. It lies just 2km to the south of the BNNZ (ASX 24 March 2010). A postulated 2 kilometres structural corridor links Georges Reward and BNNZ prospects. Both prospects are interpreted to have resulted from the same gold mineralising event. The potential for additional mineralised zones within the structural corridor is considered high.
Previous exploration undertaken at the BNNZ comprised RAB, Air Core, RC and diamond drilling. Geophysical surveys include Moving Loop Electro Magnetics (MLEM), Down Hole Electro Magnetic work and a dipole-dipole Induced Polarisation (IP) survey (ASX 15 May 2012). Results from this work are summarised below:
Based on drilling and geophysics four zones of bedrock gold anomalism are proposed as defined by maximum gold greater than 0.5 g/t in RAB drilling (ASX 31 August 2010) (Figure 2).

Numerous intercepts in fresh rock reported in RC drilling, including:

6m @ 2.29 g/t AU from 141m in drillhole BNRC051,

19m @ @1.53 g/t AU from 119m in drillhole BNRC069, and

21m @ 2.10g/t AU from 173m in drillhole BNRC081. (ASX June 2010 Quarterly

Report)

Higher grade mineralisation supported by broad lower grade halo intercepts including 93m

@0.36g/t AU from 98m in drillhole BNRC085 (ASX December 2009 and June 2010
Quarterly Report).
The dipole-dipole IP survey identified a broad 500m x 300m changeability anomaly, this anomaly is contiguous across 3 IP section lines and is located immediately below the depth of RC drilling (Figure 2 and Figure 3) (ASX 15 September 2010).

Diamond drilling to evaluate the IP anomaly recorded a combined intercept of 121m grading

0.98 g/t AU from 143m in drillhole BNRC066, including:

20m grading 0.86 g/t AU from 143m

2m grading 6.29 g/t AU from 192m

0.47m grading 30.98 g/t AU from 235.43m

6m grading 6.57 g/t AU from 251m, and

2m grading 5.72g/t AU from 262m.

and 3.6m grading 1.59 g/t from 185m in drillhole BNDH079W1 (ASX 24 December 2010 and 15 February 2011).
