CDP Rating 2020 - Nordex Continues to Improve 13.January2021

We are happy to announce that the global environmental non-profit organization Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) has awarded the Nordex Group a 'B' rating in the focus area of 'Climate Change' for our corporate sustainability efforts. This score, following a 'C' rating in 2019, clearly indicates that we successfully move forward with our sustainability strategy, and we are proud on this independent recognition.
With this we're performing above average for the Renewable Energy Equipment sector, and, we will continue our work towards sustainable economic growth and actively combating climate change. In this regard, we thank all our colleagues for their work in implementing emissions reduction measures and their dedication towards a more sustainable future.

About the Carbon Disclosure Project

CDP is internationally recognized as the standard for corporate environmental reporting and corporate environmental transparency. It runs a global disclosure system to provide investors, companies, cities, states and regions with key information to support them in managing their environmental impacts. Within three focus areas - 'Climate Change', 'Forests', and 'Water' - disclosing companies are assigned to one of four categories:

  • Leadership (A/A-): Implementing current best practices
  • Management (B/B-): Taking coordinated action on climate issues
  • Awareness (C/C-): Knowledge of impacts on, and of, climate issues
  • Disclosure (D/D-): Transparent about climate issues

The Group has installed more than 29 GW of wind energy capacity in over 40 markets and in 2019 generated revenues of EUR 3.3 billion. The company currently employs a workforce of approx. 7,900.
