Nan Ya Plastics Corporation announced fines imposed by the New Taipei City Government on the Company for violation of the Air Pollution Control Act. Cause of occurrence: On April 7, 2024, the personnel of New Taipei City Government's Environmental Protection Department audited the Linkou Plant II and found an unusual odor indicative of air pollution due to a fire incident. It has been determined to be in violation of Article 32, Paragraph 1, Subparagraph 3 of the Air Pollution Control Act, and has been penalized accordingly under Article 67, Paragraph 1 of the Air Pollution Control Act.

Handling procedure: GNPC's Linkou Plant strictly adheres to the Fire Services Act and relevant regulations regarding all equipment and facilities. Upon discovering the fire incident, NPC immediately notified the fire brigade for rescue operations. However, due to on-site access restrictions, preventing personnel from entering, NPC was unable to use any equipment to collect or treat the odoriferous air resulting from the fire incident.

NPC has taken the most proactive approach to handle the rescue and aftermath of this fire incident within its capabilities. The amount of fine is TWD 5,000,000.
