Minera Frisco, S.A.B. de C.V. announced earnings and production results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2019. For the quarter, the company reported processed tonnage decreased by 42%. Gold production reached 35,723 ounces compared to 67,136 ounces a year ago. Silver production reached 1,354,716 ounces compared to 1,814,156 ounces a year ago. Production of copper concentrates was 6,506 tonnes compared to 6,817 tonnes a year ago. Lead production reached 3,625 tonnes. Zinc production reached 11,712 tonnes.
For the quarter, the company reported net sales of MXN 2,465.1 million compared to MXN 3,632.0 million a year ago. Operating loss was MXN 255.9 million compared to profit of MXN 275.0 million a year ago. Net loss was MXN 398.9 million compared to MXN 1,474 million a year ago.
Minera Frisco SAB de CV is a Mexico-based company engaged in the exploration and exploitation of mineral resources. The Companyâs main activities comprise the production and sale of lead-silver concentrates, zinc concentrates, copper concentrates, copper in cathode and gold and silver rods. The staged operations include the location, investigation and compilation of information in the prospective areas considered for possible existence of minerals; conducting detailed geological study in the prospective areas, and finally conducting exploration methods directly in the prospective areas as a result of the previous stages. The Company owns such subsidiaries as Minera CRA SA de CV, Minera CX SA de CV, Minera Tayahua SA de CV, Minera San Francisco del Oro, SA de CV, as well as Multiservicios de Exploracion Geologica Frisco, SA de CV, among others.
