Wins the Gold Award for Best Managed Board

Receives Best Investor Relations Award for a third straight year

Singapore, 18 July 2012 - Micro-Mechanics (Holdings) Ltd. ("Micro-Mechanics" or the "Group") has scored a double at the Singapore Corporate Awards (SCA) 2012, winning the Gold Award for Best Managed Board and the Silver Award for Best Investor Relations in the "less than $300 million market capitalisation" category.
Said Ms Sumitri Menon, Independent Non-Executive Chairman of Micro-Mechanics, "We wish to thank the SCA organisers and judges for recognising our efforts to attain the highest standards of corporate leadership, transparency and governance. Helmed by Ms Menon, Micro-Mechanics' Board of Directors comprises two other Independent, Non-Executive Directors - Mr Ng Beng Tiong and Mr Girija Pande, and three Executive Directors - the Group's Founder and CEO, Mr Chris Borch; Group COO, Mr Low Ming Wah; and Group CFO, Mr Chow Kam Wing. Together, they have a wealth of experience in engineering, manufacturing, sales and marketing, finance, accounting and law.

In the Governance and Transparency Index 2012 released on 27 April 2012, Micro-Mechanics was ranked
22nd out of 674 companies listed on the Singapore Exchange with an overall score of 71 points. Only 4% or 24 companies scored 70 points or more.
The SCA's Best Managed Board Award recognises practices taken by the boards of Singapore listed companies towards good corporate governance. This award underscores people practices at the board level, beyond legal compliance and transparency. The winners of the Best Investor Relations Award are exemplary role models in Investor Relations practices who often go beyond the mandatory regulatory requirements in
quality of disclosure, corporate transparency and fairness in disclosure.
