Marvell has announced that China Mobile has launched its self-branded LTE mobile hotspot powered by Marvell's Armada Mobile PXA1802 multimode LTE platform. The China Mobile CM408 LTE mobile hotspot enables mobile broadband connectivity on laptop computers, tablets and legacy handsets through China Mobile's LTE network. Leveraging Marvell's PXA1802, the CMCC CM408 LTE mobile hotspot supports multiple global access configurations including Time Division-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access (TD-SCDMA), Frequency Division Duplex-Long Term Evolution (FDD-LTE) and Time Division Duplex-Long Term Evolution (TDD-LTE) and Enhanced Data for the GSM Environment (EDGE).

The new device also features Marvell's Avastar 88W8787 IEEE802.11n Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) and 88PM801 Power Management Unit (PMU). In addition to the Marvell PXA1802, Avastar 88W8787 WLAN and 88PM801 PMU, China Mobile's CMCC CM408 features a 0.96 inch screen, 128MB ROM+32 MB RAM 3,000mAh battery.
