Maruzen Showa Unyu Co., Ltd. (TSE:9068) concluded a share transfer contract to acquire an additional 50.1% stake in Kokusai Bulk Terminal Co., Ltd from Mitsubishi Corporation (TSE:8058) and Nosan Corporation for ¥7.4 billion on April 26, 2019. Maruzen Showa Unyu will acquire 1.7 million shares of Kokusai Bulk Terminal of which 1.67 million shares will be acquired from Mitsubishi Corporation and 0.04 million shares from Nosan Corporation. Post completion, Maruzen Showa Unyu will own 85.62% stake in Kokusai Bulk Terminal and Kokusai Bulk Terminal will become a subsidiary of Maruzen Showa Unyu. The transaction is resolved by the Board of Maruzen Showa Unyu. The transaction is expected to complete on June 21, 2019.
