Kowa Co.,Ltd. (JASDAQ:7807) agreed to acquire Pamuk Corporation for ¥59 million on February 18, 2019. Kowa Co.,Ltd. agreed to acquire 400 shares of Pamuk Corporation. As of May 31, 2018, Pamuk Corporation reported net assets of ¥19.7 million, total assets of ¥861 million, sales of ¥632.2 million, operating income of ¥7.99 million and net income of ¥9.2 million. The transaction has been resolved by the board of Kowa Co.,Ltd. The transaction is expected to complete on March 1, 2019.
Kowa Co Ltd is a Japan-based company mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of long-term care products and welfare equipment, the provision of long-term care services, and the sale of long-term care products and welfare equipment via the Internet. The Company operates through three segments. The main products of the Long-term Care Products and Welfare Equipment Manufacturing and Sales segment are welfare equipment such as silver cars, walking cars and canes for the purpose of walking assistance. The Long-term Care Service segment is engaged in the rental of long-term care products and welfare equipment. The Electronic Commerce (EC) segment sells nursing care products and welfare equipment such as wheelchairs, silver cars, and walking vehicles by mail order via the Internet.
