Appointment of President and Representative Director

of JGC CORPORATION

Yokohama, Japan － JGC HOLDINGS CORPORATION announces the appointment of Farhan Mujib as the President and Representative Director of JGC CORPORATION effective January 1, 2022 with the decision at the meeting of Board of Directors held today (October 12, 2021). Current president Mr. Yutaka Yamazaki will continue to serve as a director of JGC HOLDINGS CORPORATION and JGC CORPORATION.

The shift toward the energy transition is beginning to accelerate rapidly in the market environment of JGC CORPORATION's main sphere of energy. As we continue to respect prized JGC Group values of taking on challenges, creating solutions, integrating our resources, and delivering results, the firm leadership of Mr. Mujib will further reinforce global management. Drawing on insight from previous executive positions in this industry in the U.S., Mr. Mujib will apply extensive experience and knowledge of EPC projects and a wide professional network of clients and contractors, working toward goals of the group's medium-term business plan (BSP 2025) and the 2040 Vision.

Since joining JGC CORPORATION in May, 2020, Mr. Mujib has been a key member of the senior leadership team based in Yokohama, Japan. Prior to joining

JGC, he worked at U.S. engineering firm KBR, Inc. for more than 31 years. His last role at KBR was President of Hydrocarbons Delivery Solutions, His prior executive roles at KBR include President of Engineering & Construction (E&C) Americas, Executive Vice President -Commercial and Executive Vice President- Global Operations. He has also acted as Executive Sponsor for major projects around the world.

Mr. Mujib holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Civil Engineering, Master of Science (M.Sc) in Structural Engineering and Construction and Master in Business Administration (M.B.A). He has outstanding global experience and knowledge of EPC projects in both Energy and Infrastructure fields including a strong network of connection with clients and contractors in the energy, technology and infrastructure businesses.
