The popularity of energy drinks has been increasing dramatically in recent years. Sales in 2018 rose to over $11 billion and amounted to one of the top selling packaged beverages in the United States. In 2018, energy drinks accounted for over 30 percent of the dollar sales of packaged beverages sold in U.S. convenience stores.
