Hrvatski Telekom dd : Cisco certificate for data centers among COMBIS expert acknowledgments

New recognition of expertise in network environments came from the American company Cisco.

Among numerous recognitions of expertise in the field of data centers, COMBIS included Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Data Center (CCIE Data Center) certification. This certification is a world recognized certificate that represents the biggest achievement of network certification in IT industry and it is given by Cisco.

CCIE Data Center certifies expert skills for planning, design, implementation and management of complex and modern infrastructures of data centers. Experts that achieve this certification have proved their technical skills on the highest level by using practical know-how they have acquired in the industry.

'Certification consists of two parts, written exam with around hundred questions and practical part that lasts eight hours and is taken in several world locations. Final preparations for the written exam lasted around three months, while the preparations for the practical part lasted nine months, sometimes for twelve hours a day. All of that would not be possible without support from COMBIS that ensured access to materials and laboratories, because the equipment needed for the exam is very expensive', said Mate Grbavac, holder of the certificate and system engineer specialist at COMBIS.

Mate added that certificate is preceded with a 10-year work experience in network environments, from which four years are related to data centers of COMBIS's biggest customers. Network engineers that have active Cisco CCIE certificate are recognized for their expertise and skills in network engineering, while CCIE community achieved the reputation of leading in the network industry regarding technical network expertise and it is on the task level one of the most difficult technical challenges related to network technologies.
