sMedio, Inc. announced consolidated earnings results for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2020. For the year, the company reported net sales of JPY 913 million compared to JPY 862 million a year ago. Operating profit was JPY 32 million compared to operating loss JPY 61 million a year ago. Profit attributable to owners of parent of JPY 10 million compared with loss attributable to owners of parent was JPY 84 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was JPY 5.36 compared to basic loss per share of JPY 44.31 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was JPY 5.36.

The Software business segment is engaged in personal computer/digital home appliance integration, artificial intelligence (AI) video analysis, security & privacy software, and Internet of Things (IoT) solution businesses. The personal computer/digital home appliance integration business integrates video (4K/8K), audio playback, and browser display software into customer products. The AI video analysis business provides video analysis services using AI to customers in the construction industry. The security & privacy software business develops contracted software and produces data migration and backup applications for customers in the telecommunications industry.
