Great China Metal Ind. Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the third quarter ended September 30, 2020. For the third quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 2,243.235 million compared to TWD 2,192.055 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 274.477 million compared to TWD 203.377 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 240.821 million compared to TWD 171.005 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.79 compared to TWD 0.56 a year ago. For the nine months, sales was TWD 5,765.369 million compared to TWD 6,341.791 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 560.282 million compared to TWD 450.041 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 490.192 million compared to TWD 386.171 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 1.61 compared to TWD 1.27 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share was TWD 1.6 compared to TWD 1.26 a year ago.
Great China Metal Ind. Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-based company principally engaged in the manufacture and sales of cans and caps. The main products of the Company include aluminum cans, iron cans, aluminum caps, iron caps, polypropylene (PP) plastic caps and linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) films. Its products are applied in the manufacture of packaging products for beer, tea, coffee, soda drinks, fruit juice and canned meat, among others. The Company operates its businesses in Taiwan, China and Vietnam.
