Globant SA, an information technology service provider, said Wednesday it recently detected that a limited section of the company's code repository was accessed without authorization.

The company said the information that was accessed was limited to certain source code and project-related identification for a very limited number of clients, according to its current analysis. It added that it hasn't found any evidence to date that other areas of its infrastructure system or those of its clients were affected.

Shares fell 9.6% to $249 in afternoon trading and are down roughly 44% over the last 12 months.
