Geely Automobile Holdings Ltd. said Wednesday that it has set the full-year sales target for 2021 at 1.53 million units, representing a 16% increase from last year.

The Chinese car maker's overall sales for 2020 dropped 3% to 1.32 million units, though this was in line with the company's target.

Vehicle sales for December jumped 19% to 154,202 units, partly driven by continued strong sales of Lynk & Co-branded vehicles, which more than doubled in the month to 24,853 units, Geely said.

Geely sold 7,171 new-energy cars in December.
