New Member of the Geberit Board of Directors

The Board of Directors of Geberit AG has decided to nominate Jeff Song for election to the Board of Directors at the 2012 General Meeting.

The Geberit AG Board of Directors will nominate Jeff Song as a new member of the Board of
Directors at the Ordinary General Meeting on April 4, 2012. The nomination will be made as part of
the ongoing succession plan of the supervisory body. Jeff Song and the previously announced Jørgen Tang-Jensen (cf. media release of November 8, 2011) will replace Robert Heberlein and Randolf Hanslin, the two members who will be stepping down at the 2012 General Meeting after reaching retirement age, on the Board of Directors.
Jeff Song (65), a US citizen born and raised in China, has a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering. He has been responsible for the China business of Ingersoll Rand since 2004, with around 7000 employees and sales of USD 1 billion. Ingersoll Rand is a global diversified industrial group that is active in various sectors including solutions to enhance the quality and comfort of air as well as secure residential and commercial buildings. From 1988 to 2004, Jeff Song held different positions at Honeywell as a development engineer, marketing and sales director as well as managing director, first in the USA and later in China.
The Board of Directors is pleased to have found an important new board member in Jeff Song. Jeff Song brings a wide industrial background combined with a distinctive international orientation and his renowned personality to the Board. In the opinion of the Board of Directors, his wide range of professional experience and his excellent network in the China business make him an ideal candidate who will make a major contribution to the future success of the Geberit Group.
