AOL Autos names Fusion Car of the Year

Ford launches app developer program

Providing developers the information and tools needed for the creation of relevant, voice-activated experiences inside the car, Ford launched its Ford Developer Program at CES. Recent integrated apps include Wall Street Journal, USA TODAY, Kaliki, Amazon Cloud Player, Aha Radio, Rhapsody, Greater Media, Glympse and BeCouply.

Ford, Eaton, SunPower and Whirlpool team up on electric energy initiative

Ford is engaging in a strategic collaboration that will demonstrate how a typical American family can significantly reduce their electricity bills and their impact on the environment by integrating home appliance technology with a plug-in vehicle. The Ford-led team drew on a computer model created by Georgia Institute of Technology to predict a 60 percent reduction in energy costs and 55 percent reduction in CO2 when changes from a MyEnergi Lifestyle® product are incorporated in the home.

Ford cars, utilities and trucks all post sales gains in 2012

Ford Motor Company's U.S. sales grew across the board in 2012, with cars up 5 percent, utilities up 7 percent and trucks up 2 percent. Overall, the Ford brand ended 2012 with 2,168,015 vehicles sold - the only brand to top 2 million U.S. sales.
