Fineco strengthens its leadership in sustainability

Standard Ethics confirms EE+ sustainability rating, the highest assigned to credit institutions, and raises the outlook to positive. ESG policies recognized as a structural feature of the Bank

Milan, September 5th, 2023

The independent Sustainability Agency Standard Ethics1 confirmed Fineco's rating "EE+" for the fourth consecutive year, thus attributing to the Bank the most solid sustainability rating among those currently assigned in the credit sector. Standard Ethics has also revised upwards its outlook, raising it to "positive" from "stable".

Among the motivations that led to the decision, Standard Ethics highlights that the management and implementation of ESG policies "appears to be a structural feature of the Bank", while the governance of Sustainability model it has adopted is in line with the voluntary proposals of UN, EU and OECD. Moreover, the qualitative and quantitative composition of the executive Board "constitutes a best practice in the sector" in terms of independence, diversity and gender equality.

Lorena Pelliciari, Chief Financial Officer and chairman of Fineco Sustainability Management Committee: "The extremely positive judgment that emerges from the analysis confirms that Fineco's development is firmly directed within a path of sustainable growth. We believe that the integration of ESG policies within the overall strategy represents one of the keys to achieving the objectives of our customers, who are increasingly sensitive to sustainability issues, and at the same time the ESG goals of the bank."

Standard Ethics Rating associates the "EE+" rating to a "very strong conformity to Standard Ethics Sustainability principles", assigned to sustainable companies with a low reputational risk and a strong long- term growth prospects.

The Bank is also included in the FTSE4Good, in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index, in the Nasdaq CRD Global Sustainability Index, in the S&P Global 1200 Index and in Mib ESG Index.
