E.ON announces the opening of the largest manufacturer-independent test and innovation center for electromobility.

This is a state-of-the-art test laboratory with over 25 test stations and five climate chambers covering around 10,000 square meters

E.ON is investing heavily in its electromobility solutions business to meet the expansion of public and private charging infrastructures in Germany and Europe.

At the new Essen site, E.ON tests and studies charging solutions for electric vehicles and their intelligent integration into the energy ecosystem.

Patrick Lammers, member of E.ON's Board of Directors, said at the opening: 'We will build at least 1,000 additional public charging stations across Europe every year, accelerating the transformation of traffic and transport. We are thus ideally positioned for the dynamic development of the electric mobility market. '
