The deal includes Neptune's entire portfolio with the exception of its activities in Norway, which were acquired at the same time by Vår Energi, a company listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange in which Eni holds 63 percent.

Instead, Neptune's activities in Germany were spun off from the scope.

The transaction is in line with Eni's strategy of providing the market and users with affordable, secure and low-emission energy, secured by natural gas.

The release adds that through this transaction, Eni integrates a high-quality, low-carbon portfolio with its own, also having exceptional geographic and operational complementarity.
