Eni SpA has signed a mid-term agreement for the sale of 28 cargoes of liquefied natural gas (LNG). The company has signed the agreement with Korea-based natural gas firm KOGAS and Japanese electric utility Chubu Electric Power Company. Under the joint purchase agreement, Eni will deliver a total of 28 cargoes of LNG between 2013 and 2017 from its global LNG portfolio and ship as per the two clients' allocation needs, thus increasing the flexibility and security of supply.

The deal has followed Eni's last year agreement for the sales of 49 cargoes of LNG in the markets of Japan.
