The 2014 Informe Reporta has awarded Endesa first place for the third consecutive year in its general ranking of the quality of the publicly available information of companies listed on the stock exchange. Endesa scored 87 points out of 100, as in 2013.

The prestigious Informe Reporta is published by Deva, the financial and sustainability communication agency. Compiled by independent experts, the report assesses the financial and non-financial information disclosed to shareholders and stakeholders by the 105 companies listed on the Madrid general stock market index in their publicly available reports.

The Report assesses the quality of the information using 33 different indicators in three categories: transparency, relevance and accessibility. The first measures the extent to which the information disclosed reflects the reality of the company; the second examines the degree to which this information covers the issues which matter to the company and its stakeholders; while the third determines whether the information is intelligible and easy to access.

Endesa obtained the top spot in Relevance, with 29.3 points out of 30; it ranked third in Transparency, with 46.4 points out of 50; and was awarded 11.3 points out of 15 for Accessibility.

The 2014 Informe Reporta focused more on the voluntary information provided by companies in their Activities and CSR Reports. The Report only referred to the Legal information (mandatory) where specific reference is made in those two documents to pages or sections of the Annual Financial Statements or the Corporate Governance Report (both mandatory) where more detailed information can be found.

It also highlighted numerous best practices in the information reported by Endesa. In Transparency of financial information, the Report noted best practices in Endesa's analysis of the current situation, its performance and its strategy. In Transparency of environmental, social and governance information, the Report identifies best practices in Endesa's corporate responsibility and sustainability strategy, its corporate governance structure and its ethical framework. Finally, in Relevance, Endesa was praised for its Letter from the Chairman, the description of the company, the explanation of its stakeholders and the external verification received.
