ROUNDUP: Encavis confirms annual targets - weather in second half crucial

HAMBURG - At wind and solar park operator Encavis, new installations and an acquisition in Italy prevented a decline in sales in the first half of the year. However, lower electricity prices and less favorable weather caused operating profits to fall, although not as much as analysts had expected. Management confirmed its forecast for the current year. However, stable weather conditions in the coming months are a prerequisite, Encavis CEO Christoph Husmann said in a conference call on Tuesday morning. Investors in the MDax group reacted cautiously to the news.

In contrast, it said product categories for smaller home improvement projects continued to perform robustly. Home Depot had still experienced an unprecedented boom in renovations and home spares during the Corona pandemic. But the figures did not turn out as badly as analysts had expected.
