Enact Holdings, Inc. reported earnings results for the second quarter and six months ended June 30, 2023. For the second quarter, the company reported revenue was USD 277.52 million compared to USD 273.54 million a year ago. Net income was USD 168.02 million compared to USD 204.74 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.04 compared to USD 1.26 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.04 compared to USD 1.25 a year ago.
For the six months, revenue was USD 558.46 million. Net income was USD 344.01 million. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 2.13. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 2.11.
Enact Holdings, Inc. is a private mortgage insurance company. The Company operates principally through its wholly owned subsidiary, Enact Mortgage Insurance Corporation. It is engaged in the business of writing and assuming residential mortgage guaranty insurance. The insurance protects lenders and investors against certain losses resulting from nonpayment of loans secured by mortgages, deeds of trust or other instruments constituting a first lien on residential real estate. It facilitates the sale of mortgages to the secondary market, including to private investors, as well as the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) and the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corporation (Freddie Mac).
