19 November, 2012 du to moderate Global Standards Challenges session at ITU Global Standards Symposium focussing on challenges in telecom

Hatem Bamatraf, Executive Vice President, Network Development and Operations, du, will be the moderator of the Global Standards Challenges session at the ITU Global Standards Symposium. The symposium, of which du is a strategic sponsor, will take place on 19 November at Dubai Convention Centre.

The session brings together an international cross-section of telecommunications experts to discuss the future challenges for the standards-making community, as well as the role of ITU-T in the global standardisation landscape. Topics up for discussion will include Machine to Machine, e-health, smart grid, intelligent transportation systems, and resilience of networks to disasters.

The Panellists in the session will be:
