Embassy Bancorp, Inc. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2019. For the second quarter, the company announced net interest income was USD 8.340 million compared to USD 8.100 million a year ago. Net income was USD 2.614 million compared to USD 2.510 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.35 compared to USD 0.34 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.35 compared to USD 0.33 a year ago. For the half year, net interest income was USD 16.554 million compared to USD 15.913 million a year ago. Net income was USD 5.166 million compared to USD 4.887 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.69 compared to USD 0.65 a year ago.
