Elecnor has been awarded the development of the Azulão Complex for Eneva, a leading integrated energy company in Brazil. The project, which is located in Silves, in the Brazilian state of Amazonas, will involve an investment of approximately EUR 390 million. It includes the execution of a Gas Processing Unit, a Power Plant and its related substation and transmission line.

The Azulão project consists of the design, construction and set-up of a power plant with a combined-cycle gross nominal capacity of 590 MW and a simple-cycle gross nominal capacity of 360 MW. Specifically, the power plant consists of two gas turbine generators (GTG), a heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) and a steam turbine generator (STG).

The complex includes a natural gas processing unit (GPU) to process the raw gas, which will produce an average of 4.3 million normal cubic metres of gas a day.

Finally, the project includes a 500 kV substation, the extension of the existing substation switchyard at Silves (500 kV) and two 13.8 kV distribution lines.
