Millions to View Images as Program Emphasizes Quality, Reinforces Commitment to Pro Photographers and Pro Labs

ROCHESTER, N.Y., Jan. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Visitors to Times Square, in the heart of New York City, will have a new source of inspiration. At least, that is what Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE: EK) is hoping. Kodak will feature images taken by professional photographers on its large-screen outdoor display, the Kodak Times Square Gallery, beginning in January 2009. The aim is to highlight the benefits of professional photographers and, as in some cases, the services provided by professional labs for portrait and wedding photographers.

"By projecting these phenomenal photos on the Kodak Times Square Gallery, we hope to help professional photographers and labs connect with customers," said Diane McCue, general manager and vice president, Paper & Output Systems, Eastman Kodak Company. "Our goal is to highlight the value of professional photographers and professional labs, and support them as they provide customers with exceptional quality in lasting photographs and a wide assortment of innovative photographic products. Generally speaking, consumers may not be aware of the high-caliber, affordable products and services available only through professionals. At the very least, this eye-catching display, featuring the work of some of the world's top photographers, who rely on the services provided by pro labs, will be inspirational," said McCue.

With its giant-size presence, the Kodak Times Square Gallery is located on the front of the New York Marriott Marquis building at 1535 Broadway, between 45th and 46th streets. Kodak will use the highly visible marquee, viewed by millions, to showcase a stream of images and details about professional photographers and professional labs on one of the four quadrants of the jumbo display.

In addition to featuring commercial, editorial, fine art and nature photographers, Kodak will work with pro labs who are premium members of the Kodak Pro Lab Resource Center (PLRC) to identify wedding and portrait photographers and their images on a rotating basis. The PLRC is an online business and marketing asset for professional photo labs.

Professional labs, who are premium members of the PLRC, will be able to access nomination forms and instructions, beginning later in January 2009, by signing in at the PLRC site www.prolabresourcecenter.kodak.com.
