Constellation Brands reports first-quarter 2024-25 EPS up 17% to $3.57 and operating profit up 12% to $924 million, again on a comparable basis.

In terms of activity, the alcoholic beverage group reported sales up 6% to $2.66 billion, with 8% growth in beer sales offsetting a 7% decline in wine and spirits sales.

Claiming a solid start to fiscal 2024-25, Constellation Brands confirms that it expects comparable EPS of $13.50 to $13.80 and free cash flow of $1.4 to $1.5 billion for the full year.
