Communications services companies rose as the resurfacing of digital stocks guru Keith Gill sparked another wave of meme-stock mania.

Shares of cinema chain AMC Entertainment added to Monday's gains. Shares of Reddit, where Gill and other meme-stock traders make their digital home, rose in sympathy. Another "meme" stock, Blackberry, rallied.

Shares of British cell-phone carrier Vodafone Group rose after it slated a multibillion-dollar buyback program in the wake of a transitional year that saw it exit operations in Hungary, Ghana and elsewhere.

Comcast will start bundling its Peacock streaming platform with rivals Netflix and Apple TV+, the latest effort by entertainment companies to retain customers by offering several services at a discount.
