Church & Dwight Supports Walmart's Initiative On Sustainability

EWING, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 1, 2014-- Church & Dwight supports Walmart's commitment to next generation liquid laundry detergent concentration which was just announced at their recent Sustainability Summit. This is a win across the board for consumers, retailers, and the environment. While the exact timing has not been announced, the Company expects this transition to occur no later than 2017 / 2018. The proposed 25% concentration will help reduce water and plastic use throughout the industry. In addition, trucks will be able to carry more of the smaller bottles, so there will be fewer trucks on the road, reducing emissions. Church & Dwight was founded in 1846 and has a long history of doing what's right for the environment, launching the first phosphate-free powder detergent in the 1970's and being the original corporate sponsor of Earth Day.
