Chia Yi Steel Co., Ltd. announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2019. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was TWD 249.697 million compared to TWD 384.559 million a year ago. Operating income was TWD 4.608 million compared to TWD 18.325 million a year ago. Net income was TWD 3.684 million compared to TWD 21.534 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share was TWD 0.08 compared to TWD 0.48 a year ago. For the half year, sales was TWD 499.989 million compared to TWD 732.439 million a year ago. Operating loss was TWD 8.348 million compared to operating Income of TWD 24.391 million a year ago. Net loss was TWD 5.295 million compared to net income of TWD 26.200 million a year ago. Basic loss per share was TWD 0.12 compared to basic earnings per share of TWD 0.58 a year ago.
CHIA YI STEEL CO., LTD. is principally engaged in the forging, processing and distribution of casting iron products. The Company primarily involves in the manufacture and precision processing of iron products, which are applied in mechanical parts, electric motor parts, automobile parts, oil pressure parts and other hardware and spare parts, among others.
